Brian Benton Burns

Brian Burns departed this Earth to be embraced by the loving arms of Jesus on September 17, 2019. There was a graveside service celebrating Brian’s life at the Canton Mississippi Cemetery on September 21, 2019 attended by family and friends.

 Brian was the son of Arthur Allen Burns and Lorraine Benton who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Al, sister-in-law Carolyn, and nephew Andrew of Portland, Oregon; his aunt Frances Burns of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and by his cousin William Fryer of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Brian was a graduate of St. Andrews Episcopal High School, where he earned the nickname “chief,” and attended the University of Southern Mississippi.  Brian enjoyed outdoor cooking and every sort of athletic competition, especially college football. He leaves behind many friends who shared these interests with Brian.
