Funeral services for Mrs. Grace McCool Luckett will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 12:00. Burial will be in the Canton cemetery.
Born in Winston County on November 7, 1925, Mrs. Luckett had made her home in the Farmhaven community for the past sixty-eight years. She was the widow of the late Pat Luckett, Jr. She enjoyed the day-to-day activities associated with running her family’s farm, gardening, and most of all her friends and family. She especially enjoyed the holidays and tried to make each of them special for her children and her grandchildren. A lifelong Methodist, she was a member of the Lone Pine Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Luckett was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Estelle Ray McCool; her brothers, Talmadge, Clyde, and Dee McCool and her sisters; Nella Staten, Laura McCool, and Evelyn Ray.
She is survived by her son, Pat Luckett III, and his wife Carolyn, her daughters, Melissa Agin and Marie Luckett and her granddaughters, Lindsey Agin Greene, Candice Agin Varner and Alison Armstrong Yount.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lone Pine United Methodist Church, 462 Lone Pine Road, Canton, MS 39046.
