Jon Arthur Crocker

Jon Arthur Crocker, 75, was born May 23, 1942, in Bruce, Mississippi,

 to Ottis B. Crocker and Ora Hawkins Crocker.  He passed away at his home with his wife by his side on February 23, 2018.

After graduating from Bruce High School, Jon attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order.  Jon graduated with a degree in business.  In 1972, he and his wife, Lynn Jones Crocker, moved to Canton, Mississippi, where he was in the insurance business.  After a few years, Jon went into the banking business in Bruce and Canton.

Jon was a longtime member of the Rotary Club, where he became a Paul Harris Fellow.  He was also on the board of Renasant Bank.

Jon was an avid golfer until he suffered a stroke.  He was a delight to be around, and family and friends enjoyed his sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Catherine; his brother Ottis; and his beloved in-laws Ruth and Hermit Jones

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; his daughter Christian; and his brothers Dr. Charles Crocker and Sam Crocker.

A private graveside service will precede the visitation.  The visitation will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 with Holy Eucharist and a Celebration of Jon’s life immediately following.
