Mrs. Maggie Culipher Beale died peacefully at home on March 29th, 2018 in Canton, MS at the age of 95.
Mrs. Beale is survived by her daughters: Katherine Moe and Vivian (Drue) Moore of Canton; grandchildren: Johnny Monk of Canton, Marion (Danny) Moss of Carthage, and Heather (Joseph) Pelton of Travelers Rest, SC; and seven great grandchildren: Toni Hardy, Katie Moss, Kevin Moss, Jonathan Moss, Hannah Pelton, Logan Pelton and Eli Pelton and three great-great grandchildren: Sean Gill, Taylor Hardy, and Josh Langston. She is preceded in death by her parents Della Ray and Edgar Culipher, husband Ira “Bill” Beale, son Ira “Billy” Beale, granddaughter Katherine “Kathy” Hawthorne; brothers, Meredith, Earl, and Elmer Culipher; and sister, Hazel Ballard.
Maggie Culipher Beale was born on January 11, 1923 in Camden. She resided in Madison County all of her life. Her children remember her as a kind, loving, patient and Christian mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She was the oldest and active member of the Farmhaven Baptist Church and didn’t let anything stop here from attending all of its services.
Her funeral is scheduled for Saturday the 31st at 11 AM and visitation Friday the 30th 5 - 8 PM and Saturday 10 - 11 AM at Breeland Funeral Home, Canton, MS and internment at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Reverend(s) Mike Jernigan and Jamie Lamoreaux will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mrs. Maggie Beale’s life.
