Anne Louise Cotten Davis, 84, passed away after a 46-year illness of multiple sclerosis on Friday, June 7, 2024. Visitation will be at Breeland Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Visitation will also be at Pickens Presbyterian Church on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service. Burial will be in Harttown Cemetery in Yazoo County.
Mrs. Davis was an excellent seamstress having competed in 4-H where she won several awards at the state and national level. She taught sewing, home economics, and science in several schools in Holmes, Madison, Attala, and Yazoo Counties. She was a member of Pickens Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by: father, Bryan McKinley Cotten; mother, Mary Ruth Cauthen Cotten; and husband, John H. Davis, Jr.
Survivors include: daughters, Alice Ann Davis Biggers (Barry), Janeen Alyson Hubbard (Curt), Lillian Dawn Davis Westbrook (Rolan), and Renee Ruth Davis Austin (Chad); brother, Bryan McKinley Cotten, Jr.; grandchildren, Richard Bryan Gatlin (Brittany), Hallie M. Westbrook Bufkin (Lem), Christian Davis Westbrook (Angel), and John Brady Biggers; and great-grandson, Truitt Hayes Gatlin.
