Ava Rene Bennett

Ava René Taylor Bennett, 65, passed away in Madison, Mississippi on November 10, 2023.  Born in Mobile, Alabama October 2, 1958, René spent most of her life in coastal Mississippi.  A lifelong resident of Jackson County, Mississippi, René recently moved to Madison, Mississippi to be closer to her grandson Cade.  

René was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed quilting, rose gardening, and teaching music.   She spent most of her life sharing her passion for music with children in Ocean Springs and Vancleave, MS.  She devoted most of her time after moving to helping take care of her only grandson, Cade.  

René is survived by her son, Taylor Bennett of Burnsville, NC, her daughter, Megan Bennett of Madison, MS, her grandson, Cade Wilson of Madison, MS, and three fur babies, Kiki, Polly, and Misty.

René is preceded in death by her mother, Melvina Love Taylor, her father, Edward George Taylor, and her brother, Michael David Taylor.  

Visitation is schedule for 2:00pm on Friday, November 17th at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Association for Music Education (nafme.org).
