Berta Janie Burns

Berta Janie Burns, 84 passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at her home.  Visitation will be at Breeland Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm chapel service.  Burial will be in Jessamine Cemetery.

A native of Rankin County, Janie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeland. 

She was preceded in death by: father, William Lonnie Wadford; mother, Emma Wiltcher Wadford; sons, Joey, Danny, and Rusty; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Survivors include: daughters, Cindy Kettleman of Ridgeland, Gail Thomas (Johnny) of Ridgeland, and Pennie Thomas of Catharpin, VA; brothers, Billy Wadford of Canton and Johnny Wadford (LaRue) of Brandon; grandchildren, Seth Kettleman (Kimberly), Bryce Kettleman (Rebekah), Nicki Roberts (Kevin), Brooke Bloomsburg (Seth), Maci Windom (Matt), Alicia Megan Van de Crommert (Christian), Chris Parker, and Shannon Parker; and 11 great grandchildren.
