Miss Bobbie Celeste Kirkpatrick answered the call from Christ to come home on December 30, 2023. Bobbie was born in Hattisburg, MS on April 15, 1933. She was raised on Bailey Avenue in Jackson. Later, her family moved to Canton and she graduated from Canton High School in 1950. Miss Bobbie was a woman of beauty and grace, always loved and admired especially by her nieces and nephews. Several even considered her to be their second mother. Miss Kirkpatrick enjoyed and was most proud of her 30 year long and dedicated career at the Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Upon retirement, she returned to Canton to be close to family. Miss Bobbie loved her poodles and they were each treated with the love of a mother for her children. She had a long and loving relationship with her best friend, “Doc” Paul Cuthbertson. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Miss Bobbie was a hopelessly devoted fan of Elvis and loved the gospel sounds of Jimmy Swaggart and the Gaithers. She found peace and inspiration listening to Billy Graham sermons. She will always be remembered for her signature red hair, styled by her friend Lyle Kleppelid.
During the past few years, Miss Kirkpatrick was lovingly cared for by God’s angels on earth, Ann and Henry McCrory, Pat Benson and Kayte Ford. Their efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus to her are testaments to God’s faithful provision. They brought her much peace, comfort, companionship and encouragement. We are also thankful for the loving care given to Miss Bobbie at The Arbor during her winter season. Miss Bobbie is predeceased by her parents RJ and Docia Harry, brothers John W. and Franklin Harry and sisters Laura Belle Harry and Yoma Mae Bailey, her devoted love, Paul Cuthbertson, her cherished pup Tammy and poodles Bridget, Bridget #2, Budro, and Benji. We can only imagine her beautiful smile as she embraces Jesus and her loved ones.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Howard Harry and his wife Wilma, her dear sister-in-law, Carolyn Harry and her son Pastor Charles Moore, nieces and nephews Linda Huburt, Hugh Cummins, Debbie Cannon, Renee Middleton, Sydney Searcy, Michael Bailey, and Leesa Philippon. Miss Bobbie also leaves lifelong friends Polly, Laura and a dear friend and neighbor, Kathy Nutt. This earth has lost a beautiful lady and Heaven has gained a radiant soul.
“You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasurers at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11
Visitation will be at Breeland Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10 - 10:45 am. Graveside services will be in the Canton Cemetery at 11:00 am.
