Bobbie O Pace

Bobbie O. Pace, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at First United Methodist Church from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service.

Mrs. Pace was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Canton where she was president of the Ida Bennett Circle for many years and a longtime member of the Hermit Jones Sunday School Class where she served as treasurer.  She was also a longtime member of United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Thelma and J. C. Oxner; brothers, Nolan Oxner and Don Oxner; sister, Diann Weathersby; husbands, Augustus Marion Slaton, Jr. and Jeff Davis Pace, Sr.; and son Zachary Lane Slaton.

Survivors include: daughters, Deirdre Harris (John) of Canton and Kathy Woods (Toot) of Downsville, LA; son, Dave Pace (Lillann) of Natchez; brother, Wayne Oxner (Carolyn) of Lena; grandchildren, Anna Grace Harris, Davis Pace (Julie), Jesse Stoakes (Daniel), Justin Gordon (Jennifer), and Houston Gordon (Amanda); and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Canton.
