Bobby Joe Hall passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 4, 2025 at Seasons Assisted Living Facility in Canton, MS.
Bobby was born on January 18th 1939 in Carthage, MS. He was one of three children born to James Melvin and Annie Hall. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sara Ann Pace Hall, his older brother Jim Hall, and twin sister Betty Ann Irby.
After graduating from Canton High School, he worked for Mays Grocery before starting his own painting business, Jackson Paint Company. He started his business in Jackson, MS in 1965 before moving it to its permanent location on North Liberty Street in Canton. He was known across Mississippi in the commercial paint contracting business for many years. He took pride in putting the “finishing touches” to many well-known buildings across MS. He was also a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Bobby is survived by his daughter Jo Hall Anderson and her husband Kaylan, grandchildren Hayden Anderson, Will Anderson and Anna Morgan Anderson.

Bobby never met a stranger and was admired for his whit and love of laughter. He may not have remembered your name, but he always knew where you were from.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Canton Church or the athletic fund at Madison Ridgeland Academy where his granddaughter Anna Morgan attends.
Visitation will be held March 7th at Breeland Funeral Home from 9:30 AM till the 11:00 funeral service. Interment will be at the Canton Cemetery.
