Brenda Holloway Smith

            Brenda Holloway Smith went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2026. She was born on January 2, 1960 to Janell and Finley Holloway of Rolling Fork, Mississippi.
            She graduated from Jim Hill High School in Jackson, MS. She worked for many years at Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control in Jackson, MS. Brenda will be remembered as a great Southern cook, an avid jokester and storyteller, and a trusted friend. Brenda loved her family dearly. She spent many happy years taking care of her son Ricky, husband Jerry, and mother Janell.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Smith and son Ricky.

She was preceded in death by her mother Janell Holloway, father Finley Holloway, and brother Ronald Holloway.

In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by sister-in-law Lisa Holloway and niece Heather Patrick (Jared), siblings in law Faye, Clay, and Will; step daughters Stephanie and Mary Elizabeth and a host of Holloway and McPhail cousins, as well as dear friends Pattie and James.

            The funeral will be held at Lone Pine Baptist Church in Canton, MS June 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
