David William Dodds

David William Dodds, 73, of Madison, MS, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Brownsville, Tennessee to the late Harold L. and Cora Lynn Dodds.

David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.  He loved and adored his wife, children, and grandchildren.  He was their biggest fan.  David enjoyed hunting and watching sports, especially his beloved Mississippi State Bulldogs.  Hail State!  He could always be found on the sidelines of his grandkids’ games, recitals, or pageants cheering them on.

David graduated from Mississippi State University in 1970 and has been an independent agent in the financial services industry for 52 years where he has made many lifelong friendships.

He is survived by his loving wife Faye; children Sean (Amanda) Dodds, Joshua (Julie) Hammer, and Chad Dodds; cherished grandchildren Samantha, Gavin, Grady, Vera, Tyler, and Casey; loving brother Lee Dodds.

“My life on earth was very good as earthly life can go, but paradise is so much more than anyone can know.” 

A service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Pinelake Madison Campus.  We invite you to join us in wearing maroon in honor of David.
