On May 22, 2023, Grace Elizabeth Adams walked into the arms of Jesus where undoubtedly, He said, “job well done good and faithful servant job well done.”
Grace Elizabeth Williams Adams was born February 7, 1930, in Farmhaven, MS. She was one of 5 children born to Bozie and Bertha Williams. In 1950 she married James Lamar Adams, and they had two daughters - Margaret and Nina.
She had three grandchildren that she absolutely adored. She lived for Friday night spend the nights, picking them up from school, helping them with homework, and watching them play sports. She was the warmth on Christmas, the maker of Sunday lunches, and the center of our family. She had four great-grandchildren and in March of this year, she met her namesake.
Most likely, if you lived in Canton, you have met Gracie or you have a Gracie story. Her legacy and her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bozie and Bertha Williams, her spouse, James Lamar Adams, two brothers William Williams and Johnny Williams, and sister Florene Odom. She is survived by her two daughters Margaret (James) Wehr and Nina (Ken) Batchelor, sister Audrey Renfrow, grandchildren Jill (Eddie) Collins, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Farris, and Jason Wehr. The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the aides and nurses at The Home Place. Thank you for the love and attention given to Gracie while in your care.
