James Joseph “Joe” Kirby, Jr., 70, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. The family is planning private memorial services with a public Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date.

Joe served as purchasing agent for Superior Asphalt for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed deep sea fishing. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by: father, James Joseph Kirby and mother, Doris Ruth Wallace.

Survivors include: brother Nicky Kirby and his wife B.J.; sisters, Gaytha Matthews and Phyllis Stevens; and several nieces and nephews.
