James Earl May

James Earl May, age 67, passed away on May 2, 2026. He was a devoted father, loving grandfather, and cherished brother whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James found joy in the simple moments of life, especially time spent with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will continue to live on through those he held dear.

He is survived by his son, Eric May; his daughters, Lindsay Johnson and Kayla Roberts; his sisters, Bessie Brown and Becky Coleman; and his beloved grandchildren, Cruz Johnson, Cash Johnson, Charlie Kate Johnson, Kadi Roberts, Madi Roberts, Rivers Roberts, Emily Grace May, and Addison May.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on May 7, 2026, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will take place immediately afterward at the church cemetery.

James will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence, and the many lives he touched along the way.
