James "Jamie" Wesley Daves, Jr.

James "Jamie" Wesley Daves Jr., 47, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, at his home in Madison, MS.  Jamie was born in Hollandale, MS, to Barbara Ray and James Wesley Daves Sr. 

Several years after attending Pearl High School, Jamie ran his family’s bakery in Canton after his father’s passing. He then spent 20 years in the automotive industry. His most recent position was Senior Production Manager for Topre America in Canton.

Jamie had a larger-than-life personality and an extraordinary sense of humor.  He never met a stranger, and to know him was to love him. He loved making people smile. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, but most importantly, he loved his family.  He was the happiest when he was coaching his son's baseball team, riding atvs with his daughter, or just spending quality time with his wife and children.

Jamie was preceded in death by his parents,  James Wesley Daves Sr. and Barbara Ray. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tonya Saik Daves, his daughter Mya Claire and son Slade, brother Dusty Cockrell, sister Rhonda Goff, brother-in-law Damon (Kayce) Saik, and a multitude of other extended family and friends

He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. 

Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Pinelake Church in Madison with service following at 3:00 pm.
