Jerrilyn Montgomery Matthews

Jerrilyn Montgomery Matthews died peacefully with her family at her side on May 9, 2020.

Born in Carthage MS she lived her life in Canton MS. Where she has been a member of First Baptist Church of Canton all of her life. She also played piano for the 4-year-old Sunday School class for approximately 40 years.
She was a devoted mother to her children and worked at Madison Furniture Industry for 48 years.

Her family and her faith along with her friends were the most important things in her life. She was completely involved in her children’s life from swim team, Girl Scouts and any sports the boys were interested in. Jerrilyn was a big supporter of Ole Miss football and anything to do with history. She was always up for a spur of the moment road trip or a game of domino’s.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. EJ Montgomery her brothers Billy and Marion Montgomery her sister Barbara Gayle Montgomery Rosamond and CE Matthew Sr
She is survived by her four children Donna, Chip,(Sharon) Monty, Rodger (Donna) her granddaughter Savannah Matthews and her four great grandchildren.

The family would also like to thank all who helped with their mothers care as well as Edgewood Nursing Home.

Graveside Services will be held at the family’s cemetery at Forest Grove MS on June 6, 2020 at 11:00am.
