Jesse Crister Manning

Jesse Crister Manning, 90, passed away on September 13, 2021. He was a native of Canton, MS and lived most of his adult life in Jackson, MS. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Flora, Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and later worked with General Electric as an appliance technician before retiring.

Jesse Manning was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Herrington Manning, one brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include: son, David Crister Manning of Braxton, MS; daughters, Peggy Manning Fore of Byram, MS and Ann Manning Usry of Clinton, MS; sister-in-law, Margie Haynes Manning of Canton, MS; nephews, Robert “Bobby” Manning and Chris Manning; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday September 15, 2021 from 10 AM to 11:00 AM at Breeland Funeral Home followed by a private family service.
