Leonard Millsaps Obituary
Leonard Alvin Millsaps, 91, of Canton, MS, passed away January 4, 2019 at the Veterans Nursing Home in Kosciusko. Graveside services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Canton Cemetery.
Born December 12, 1927 in Calhoun City, MS, Leonard moved to Camden at the age of eight. After graduating from Camden High School, he enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17.
Leonard was an avid farmer and businessman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising quarter horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae Leitaker and Leonard Austin Millsaps; sibling, Dorathy E. Millsaps; and his son, Austin Daniel Millsaps.
Survivors include: children, Alan T. Millsaps (Zabette) of Atlanta, GA, Martha E. Millsaps of Ridgeland, and William G. Millsaps (Jennifer) of Camden; five grandchildren; and one great grandson.
