Mary V. Miller

Mary Vance (Baker) Miller, 96, of Madison, MS, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born September 22, 1929, to the late John T. Baker and Mary Lou Strawn in Myrtle, Ms.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 80 years, Lamar; her daughter, Linda Leon (Charles); her niece, Kaye Page; her grandchildren, Chris Leon (Leslie) and Erin Chambers (Ryan); and her 4 beloved great‑grandchildren, Cameron, Grayson, Oliver and Carolyn.

A person of deep faith, Mary devoted her life to her Lord. Her kindness and servant’s heart touched countless lives within her church and community. She treated her neighbors like family and was always ready to offer a helping hand. Her kindness was a blessing to all who knew her.

A private service will be held on June 4, 2026, in New Albany, MS, where her family will gather to honor her life.
