Nellie Garcia Obituary

Nellie Colleen Garcia, 57, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Nellie was a native of Natchez and lived in California before moving to Jackson. She worked as a nurse for the V. A. Medical Center in Jackson before working police dispatch for the hospital.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Julie Ann Bourke, Mary Kathleen Bourke, and Martha Clare Bourke.

Survivors include: daughter, Emma Louise Garcia; brothers, James Russell Bourke, Jr. and Joseph Lawrence Bourke; sisters, Carrie Doreen Raymundo, Rose Marie Smith, Polly Elaine Farrar, Jane Asta Bourke, and Sherry Louise MacDonald; and her best friend, Nancy Moroni.
