It is with profound sadness that the family of Patsy Mae Evans Byas, age 69 of Canton, MS, announces her passing on 4/18/2025. Born in Mississippi on 2/29/1956 to Agnes and Paul, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, aka Pat Pat. Patsy will be remembered for her enjoyment of all kinds of flowers, especially roses, hummingbirds, butterflies, her pets, reading of all types, and her unwavering love of her family. She dedicated her life to God and family. As stated before, she loved to read but also loved to garden, tending to her rose bushes while almost always having a smile on her face. Patsy is survived by Evan (Heather), Chance (Ashli) and her grandchildren, Adelyn and Maggie, niece Kristie Howard and Kristie’s sons, David, Hawk, and Benjamin, as well as her brother, Paul Evans. She has now joined her husband, Tracy Byas, of thirty-nine years who preceded her in death in 2017. They are now together once again to enjoy fishing and each others’ company basking in the glory of the Lord in His kingdom.
Services will be held at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS on Wednesday, April 23rd with visitation at 2:00 PM and service at 3:00 PM.
