Paula Marie Mathes

Paula Marie Barneski Mathes age 64, daughter of Gretchen (Joanie) Barneski of Elmira, New York and the late Donald E Barneski died at her home in Madison Mississippi on Friday September 20, 2019.  In addition to her mother, Paula is survived by her children, Jason Mathes (Amy) of Violet Louisiana, her daughter Gretchen Butler (Joey) of Madison, Mississippi.  She is also survived by her brothers; Steve Barneski (Jeannie) of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Doug Barneski (Debbie) of Mount Airy, Maryland.  She is also survived by her grandchildren which she adored; Isabel, Knox and Layla Butler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paula owned and operated Ruger Kennels & Grooming in Gluckstadt, Mississippi and had a loving heart for animals her entire life.  She particularly had a great love for german shepherds, however she also loved and owned birds, cats and other dogs and surrounded herself with them always.

There will be a memorial service for Paula on Friday, September 27th at 6:30 p.m. at the Vertical Church, 521 Gluckstadt Road, Madison Mississippi.  In lieu of flowers, you may make contributions to The Opportunity Center (Stewpot) located at 845 West Amite St.; Jackson, MS 39203. Interment will be at a later date and will be private.
