Randy Keith Ricks

Randy Keith Ricks of Kosciusko, MS went to be with His Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Baptist Attala Hospital. There will be a Memorial Service 2:00 P.M, August 17, 2024 at Freetrade Church of God Carthage, MS. Randy was born to Clarence and Opal Clark Ricks in Meridan, MS on December 24,1951.  Randy was a member of Freetrade Church of God where he was very active in the church. Randy started painting at Wells Church Furniture in Noxapater, MS. When he left there, he went to work for other construction companies. The majority of his life, he was a self-employed painter. If you knew Randy he didn't paint very long before he would ask if you knew about Jesus and if you were saved. The last few years of his life he wanted to show others how to paint because he always wanted to help other people when he wasn't able to paint. He loved his family and church family. He enjoyed fishing, playing phase 10 cards and dominoes with his friends. Randy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara Abbott Ricks, his daughter Mandy Ricks (Twarski), granddaughter Katelyn Ricks (Terry) and great-granddaughters Trulee and Theori Fowler. Sisters Joyce Way (Bill), Nell Ricks, Alice Ricks, Linda Waltmon (Danny), Marie Wilson (Woody), Gayle Newman (Ed) and Sister-in-Law Mary Jo Ricks. Brothers Jimmy (Diane), Billy Joe (Tammy) and Dorris. 10 Nephews and Nieces, 17 Great Nephews and Nieces, and 9 Great Great Nephews and Nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Opal Clark Ricks, brother Jerry Ricks and nephew Stacey Ricks .In lieu of flowers give to a favorite charity or purchase some Gideon bibles in memory of Randy.
