Robert Lee Hales Sr.

Robert "Bob" Hales Sr., of Flora, left his earthly body on May 9, 2022.  He was a lifelong resident of Flora, MS. He had a 30 year distinguished career in the military. His career took him around the USA and the world. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts earning numerous military honors including The Bronze Star.  He retired from the military in 1980 and then had a 25 year career with Old Dominion Freight.

He is proceeded in death by his lovely wife Dot, his Mother & Stepfather George and Mabel Warner, His father Howard, Brothers George Lewis, John Wayne, and his sisters Evelyn and Annette.

Bob is survived by his four children Robert "Trooper" Hales, Jr. (Connie), Ricky Hales (Ray), Scott Hales (Dawn) and Dixie Kirk (Danny); and siblings Alton, Peggy, and Paulette.  He is further survived by his grandchildren Tonia Pyles (Matthew), Jennifer Hales, Robin Miller (Kevin), Amber Hales, Christopher Hales (Christy), Taylor Kirk (Tara), Austin Kirk, Ian Hales and Layla Hales and his thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 12, 2022 5-7 PM at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS. Graveside service will be held Friday May 13, 2022 11:00AM at Flora cemetery in Flora, MS.
