Robert J. Whitehead

Robert J. Whitehead, 92, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022.  Visitation will be at Breeland Funeral Home on Monday, April 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am chapel service.  Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery near Flora.

A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Whitehead was a retired farm manager.  He loved to hunt, fish and play checkers.  He was a long-time member of Damascus Baptist Church where he was a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Whitehead.

Survivors include: wife, Sarah Martha Whitehead of Canton; sons, Robert Wayne Whitehead and Bennie Ralph Whitehead of Flora; daughters, Rebecca Diane Moore of Canton, Martha Robin Beard of Little Yazoo, and Bonnie Jean Fullilove of Flora; sister, Hilda McLain; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
