Sarah Davis Ratcliff

Sarah Davis Ratcliff passed peacefully at home on April 8, 2025. She was born in Luckney, Mississippi on October 4, 1930. Her parents were Macon and Laverne Davis.

Sarah loved cooking, cleaning, and playing bridge with her friends. She was a bridge life master.

She was a very strong woman who survived polio at an early age and also a snakebite beneath her chin. She was a Madison County court reporter for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Billy Davis, along with her husband, Charles Brown Ratcliff.

Sarah is survived by her brother, Macon Davis; her children, Charles, Deborah, Randall, and John; her grandchildren, David, Sarah, Molly, Elizabeth, Hannah, Ross, and Haley; and twelve great grandchildren.
