Satyavathi Reddy Remata

Sathyavathi Reddy Remata (born May 20, 1946), resident of Clinton for 25 years, passed away at her home during the early hours of an auspicious day, VijayaDasami.

She took great pride in her cooking and feeding others was her truest joy. She was the matriarchal figure who held our families together even across oceans. She was full of love, always in high spirits and always smiling.  She was lovingly referred to as the “mom” to many young women and men who migrated to Mississippi and “grand mom” to many kids who are growing up here. She was an ardent devotee and an always-available volunteer at the local temple and Indian society. 

Visitation will be Wednesday October 9, 2019 from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Breeland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Breeland Funeral Home Thursday October 10, 2019 at 4:00.
