Thomas Cain was born August 19, 1934 in Export, PA and passed away June 13, 2025.
Major Thomas James Cain was a retired United State Air Force veteran after a career of twenty years. His career stretched from The Cold War in the 1950s to The Vietnam War in the 1970s. He was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross for his service.
He traveled the far corners of the World during his time in the Air Force as well as a civilian. An Australia, New Zealand trip with friends Skip and Joyce Martin was a favorite, as was a trip to Israel.
Before moving to Mississippi, Tom and Coralen lived in Yukon, Oklahoma from 1984-1999 and were members of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd and were active in Missionary Ministries. After moving to Mississippi 25 years ago they became active members of the Madison Methodist Church and continued to participate and support many mission trips.
He was an avid reader and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. After retiring he built his woodworking shop and enjoyed spending time creating, fixing, and just puttering around in it.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Cain; mother, Anna Rulyak Cain; brothers, Frank Phillip, and William; sisters, Agnes Tranchini, and Judy Rivardo; and son, David A. Cain.
Thomas Cain is survived by his wife, Coralen Cain; son, Thomas Cain Jr. (Tina); daughter Sarah R. Kretchmar (Rod); Grandchildren Teresa Haney and Craig Eckstein; sisters, Ruth Scarlett and Esther Schiever.
Memorial Services for Thomas Cain will be at Madison Methodist Church Wednesday, June 18th. Visitation will begin at 1pm. The Memorial Service will follow at 2pm.
A family graveside service will be held in Hennessey Oklahoma.
