William B. “Bill” Noble, Jr., transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on September 14, 2020, at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland, MS.
Bill was born on January 31, 1952 to William B. (Billy) and Madge Freiler Noble. As a child he enjoyed playing basketball with his friends in the backyard, and he was on the basketball team at Canton High School and Canton Academy. He received an academic scholarship to Mississippi College and later transferred to Mississippi State University. While there he joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. While attending MSU, Bill was selected to attend the 25th Annual Student Conference on United States Affairs at West Point Military Academy. He continued his education at the University of Mississippi where he received his Juris Doctorate degree. Bill practiced law throughout the state focusing on oil and gas title research and real estate. He was a member of The Mississippi Bar.
Although an avid MSU fan, his first love was Kentucky Wildcats basketball which he spent many hours watching. He enjoyed hunting and riding horses at the Yucatan Hunting Club with his dad and son.
Bill was baptized at Grace Episcopal Church, served as an acolyte and was a lifelong congregant.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Billy Noble. He is survived by his son, William Thomas Battle Noble of Fort Worth, TX, his mother, Madge Noble, and his sister Sara “Cindy” Noble (Bill) Replogle, all of Canton, MS.
The family will hold a private interment at Canton Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank his care giver, Connie Butler, Specialty Select Hospital and the Hospice Ministries staff for their support and care of Bill.
