William Eric Wadford, age 40, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Eric was a much loved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was known as a hard worker, a skilled mechanic, and a lover of music and the water. Eric enjoyed weekends on his boat in the summer, deer hunting in the winter, and gatherings that involved any family and friends. Anyone who knew him knew they could ask for any kind of help, and he would be there. Eric had a servant heart like no other.
Eric is survived by the joys of his life, his two children, Kyle, age 21, and Aniston, age 13. Eric also leaves behind his mother, Brenda Dyess Beale, grandmother, Lois Wadford, father, Eddie Wadford, and brothers Jay Wadford and Eddie Charles Wadford. Eric will be sorely missed by so many friends that he counted as family, we can’t even begin to name them all here.
Eric is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Wadford, maternal grandmother, Jean Nicholson Dyess Barrett and maternal grandfather, Robert R. Dyess.
Pallbearers are: Corey Dyess, Jimmy Fox, Phillip Garrison, Craig Graham, Andrew Hankins, Prent Johnson, Chris Lyon, and Scott Lyon
Eric is described by his best friend, Prent Johnson, as “an inspiration… a best friend…the best brother I could have ever had”. Those words describe Eric for all of us. He loved hard and would want you to honor his memory by doing the same.
Visitation is Saturday, November 30, from 5:00- 7:00 pm at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral is at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, also at Breeland. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Bank Plus in honor of Eric’s daughter, Aniston Paige Wadford.
